We took on a request from a guy on Facebook who has a really great truck build. He has three axle axles and ten wheels. He works with large trucks and Alcoa wheels at his day job. He told us he couldn’t really find something good that he wanted and some of the aluminum offerings out there would cost too much money to really make the build work within his budget.
He asked us to make a scale Alcoa 1.9 wheel for his build so he could get a more scale look with that wheel size. We create a model that uses a 12mm hex drive and one that uses a pin drive. The wheels are not beadlocks. They came out quite good and Brendan was very pleased with his purchase.
Here is a few render shots and some pictures of the actual prints:
Here are the test print pictures. The wheel was mounted to a RC4WD Trail Finder 2 with general mounting hardware. Both hub types are shown. The tire is a Tamiya 1.9 tire.
And here are the wheels purchased, painted and mounted by Brendan on his awesome truck.
